A unique passionate ballad group. The Rebel Hearts play with hearts on their sleeves. Live shows are bursting with pride, passion and honesty. This is raw..this is real..this is Rebel Hearts. Formed in 2000, school friends Jamie Mockler(Guitar and lead singer) and Paudie Coen (flutes, whistles? Vocals) assembled in a shed not far from Holycross in Co. Tipperary. There they met with founder member Paudie Doran(Drums). Soon after Liam Coen(Banjo, Mandolin/Bouzouki) and Tom Doran(Bass and vocals) arrived and Rebel Hearts were born. Three albums followed with a tour of Australia in 2001.. Countless trips to the Irish centers and pubs in England as well as an extensive covering of the 32 counties of Ireland. Rebel Hearts have shared the stage with the best in Irish folk and Rock..The Saw Doctors,Hudson Taylor, Hermitage Green, Gary Og, Mundy, Paddy Casey, Keywest, The Wolfe Tones, Shane Macgowan, Louise Morrissey, and Foster and Allen to name but a few.
