What if I don’t know any of the bands that are playing?

Of course you should come to Folkfest Killarney, the  beauty of this festival is that you will get to explore and discover some of the best talent that is unknown by the majority but is seriously un-missable.

Can I buy a one day ticket?

Yes daily tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are available for €39.

I purchased my tickets via Ticketmaster and still have not received them, what can I do?

Please contact directly or alternatively you can call them on 0818 719 300. Please have your booking reference to hand when contacting them.

How do I get there?


The INEC is located on the Muckross Road (N71), The event centre is on the left hand side approx 1km from Killarney town centre.

From Cork take the N22 to Killarney, on reaching Killarney follow signs for Muckross Road N71 the INEC is on the left hand side approx 1km from Killarney town centre (approx 1hr 15min).

From Kerry airport, take the N22 towards Killarney & follow signs for the Muckross Road – N71 as above (approx 20min).

From Shannon airport, take the N18 to Limerick, take the N21 to Castleisland, then take the N22 to Killarney and follow the signs for the Muckross Road N71 as above (approx 2hr).
From Dublin, take the M7 signposted Limerick, take the N21 to Castleisland, then take the N22 to Killarney and follow the signs for the Muckross Road N71 as above (approx 2hr).

Cork airport, which is only 70 minutes drive from Killarney and provides regular daily flights from all major airports within the UK and mainland Europe.  It has 5 daily flights to London alone, which provides access to all major world airports.

Shannon airport is approximately 100 minutes drive from Killarney and in addition to UK and EU connections it offers direct flights to the USA with daily direct flights JFK, Newark and Boston with pre-clearance facilities for US bound travellers.

Kerry airport is located only 15 minutes drive from Killarney town. Kerry airport provides Killarney with direct daily access to the UK and Germany with developing routes to other EU & UK destinations. It provides multiple daily commuter connections to Dublin International airport and onwards to the wider world.

Dublin airport provides significant international access to Killarney via Kerry airport but also through its connections with Cork and Shannon airports.


Killarney is on the Dublin-Tralee railway route and the trip from Dublin takes approximately 3.5 hours. Irish Rail, the national rail company, provides daily train services to and from Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. The train station is located approximately one mile from the INEC.

Can I bring my own beer?

NO. There are numerous bars and restaurants available to you onsite.

Are there ATMS on-site?

Yes there is an ATM located inside the Gleneagle Hotel

Are there still Weekend Tickets Available? If so, how much are they?

Yes! Tickets are still available and are priced at €98 for a weekend ticket and €39 for a daily ticket.

If I won a ticket/pair if tickets.. how do I collect them?

If you won a ticket/tickets please go to the INEC box office and bring PHOTO ID corresponding to your entrant name to collect them. These will be available for collection during box office opening hours in the weeks leading up to the festival.

What food is available?

The festival takes place in the INEC and Gleneagle Hotel so all hotel bars and restaurants are available to attendees. We will also have food stalls throughout the site serving a wide offering of food.

I would like to camp at the festival, is there a facility to do this?

I’m bringing my 7 year old daughter, does she need a ticket?

Folkfest Killarney is a family friendly festival.  Tickets for U-14’s can also be purchased on

Can I leave the festival site throughout the weekend?

Yes, you can leave the festival site. Weekend ticket holders will be issued with a wristband upon initially entering the venue. This wristband will enable you to enter and leave the site as you wish.

Where and when is Folkfest Killarney on?

Folkfest Killarney will take place throughout the complex of the INEC and Gleneagle Hotel, Muckross Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry
